A few months ago we took over the reins at Norton Grounds – and what a whirlwind it has been! As well as getting to know the business and setting out our plans for the future, Norton Grounds has been a hive of activity over the last few weeks. We have added some extra touches to the two barn conversions and created a brand new children’s play area to keep our younger guests occupied. Facilities for our four-legged visitors have had special attention too, with dedicated stabling available for those combining their stay with some top class equestrian training.
Our luxury bed and breakfast rooms have had a complete re-vamp, so they offer the ultimate in modern style and comfort. We are now taking bookings for our Super King Size and twin bed rooms, both featuring White Company bed linen, flat screen TVs, tea and coffee making facilities, ensuite bathrooms, fluffy towels and toiletries.
To make you feel totally at home, you can make use of the spacious reception room with comfy chairs and an open fire. Plus, we help you kick start the day with a delicious breakfast, including eggs from our own hens! And that’s not all – our guests are welcome to enjoy our extensive grounds.
It’s not only the holiday accommodation that has kept us on our toes. There have been some exciting developments on the equestrian side of the business too.
We were over the moon to welcome Italian Olympic rider, Vittoria Panizzon, to Norton Grounds when she moved into a brand new yard within the grounds. With an already established professional eventing yard, run by Clare Valender, and resident dressage trainer Liam Fisher onsite, it felt like a natural fit to expand the business to include other competitors at Norton Grounds.
Vittoria moved her team of horses into the brand new stable yard in July, complete with 16 stables, secure tack room and wash down area. It wasn’t long before the horses were joined by other four-legged friends – two gorgeous kittens called Pimms and Lemonade!
Clare, Vittoria and Liam are now working side by side, competing their own horses and offering a range of clinics and residential training packages, both individually and as a team. To find out more visit www.nortongrounds.com/equestrian
